InteractiveAg is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal and agricultural data we collect. This policy applies to our services, website, and applications.

InteractiveAg (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal and agricultural data we collect. This Privacy Policy applies to our services, website, and applications (collectively, the “Services”) and is provided in compliance with applicable law, including provisions of the Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act (INCDPA).

Information we collect

We collect information to provide and improve our agricultural technology services. The types of data collected depend on your use of our Services.

How we use your information

We use the collected information for the following business purposes:

  • To provide Services: Fulfilling our contractual obligation to you, including delivering farm analytics, insights, and technical support.
  • To communicate: Sending service updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
  • To improve Services: Analyzing data to develop new products, improve existing features, and conduct internal research.
  • Security and legal compliance: Detecting security incidents, protecting against fraudulent or illegal activity, and complying with all applicable laws, including the INCDPA.
  • Marketing: Sending promotional materials or targeted advertisements where permitted and you have not opted out.

We will not collect additional categories of Personal Data or use Personal Data collected for additional purposes without providing you with prior notice.

Data sharing and disclosure

We only disclose your Personal Data to the following categories of third parties:

  • Service providers: We engage third-party companies to perform business services on our behalf, such as payment processing, cloud hosting, and email delivery. These providers are contractually obligated to protect the data and only use it for the purposes we define.
  • Affiliates: We may share data with companies under common ownership or control with InteractiveAg.
  • Legal compliance and protection: We may disclose data when legally required, such as in response to a subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of InteractiveAg, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: If InteractiveAg is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Farm data principles

InteractiveAg adheres to the principle that you, the farmer, own the data generated on your farming operation.

Non-aggregated Farm Data

We will not sell or disclose your non-aggregated, non-anonymized Farm Data to third parties, such as commodity speculators or input providers, without your explicit, opt-in consent and a clear explanation of the purpose.

Aggregated and de-identified data: We may use, share, or sell aggregated or de-identified data, which is not reasonably linked or linkable to you or your specific farm, for research, business intelligence, or other purposes.

Your Indiana consumer data rights

If the INCDPA applies to the processing of your Personal Data, you have the following rights, which you can exercise by contacting us at the details below:

  • Right to know and access: Confirm whether we are processing your personal data and access that data.
  • Right to correction: Correct inaccuracies in the personal data you provided to us.
  • Right to deletion: Request deletion of the personal data you provided to us.
  • Right to data portability: Obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable, readily usable format.
  • Right to opt out: Opt out of processing your personal data for targeted advertising or the sale of personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, please submit an authenticated request using the contact methods in the Contact Us section. We will respond within forty-five (45) days. If we decline to take action, we will inform you of the reasons and provide instructions on how to appeal our decision.

Data security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures appropriate to the volume and nature of the data we process to protect your Personal Data and Farm Data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of the policy and notify you by email or a prominent notice on our Services, as required by law.
